Homework 1-12-11

Prepare to present the results of the Liquids/Surfaces experiment.
Items to present:
1. pictures of observations
2. collected data
3. data in a graph/plot/table
4. conclusions based on data related to the molecular attractions and/or repulsions of the various chemicals or materials observed.

What I did was measure the distance of each liquid on each different surface. There are a few breaks in the graph because each liquid was not tested on each different surface, but there were 14 different combinations of liquid surface observation. What I found was that dish soap and vegetable oil stood the highest off the surface areas and didnt disperse on the surfaces as well as rubbing alcohol and acetone did. Both of those substances spread out more than any of the other liquids. Water was in the middle of the chart keeping form but also mixing with the surfaces and expanding.
