• Covalent bonds form when two ions of the same charge are bonded togerther by shared electrons to form a molecule or compound

What is electronegativity?

• the ability of an atom or molecule to attract electrons and form bonds

List the electronegativity for H, Na, Cl, and O.

• H = 2.1
• Na = 0.9
• Cl = 3.0
• O = 3.5
